When is the best time for a maternity session?
It is best to reach out during your second trimester, especially if you have a preferred date, studio room, or weekend in mind. Most maternity sessions take place between 25 and 32 weeks, but booking earlier gives us more flexibility for planning.
Do I need to bring a dress?
No. You’ll have access to my exclusive collection of more than 100 maternity gowns, featuring romantic, timeless, modern, fitted, and couture-inspired styles. Many pieces are custom-made or available in limited quantities, making them difficult to find elsewhere.
Before your session, I’ll help you choose the gowns that best complement your vision, body shape, and selected setting. You’re also welcome to bring a personal outfit if there’s something meaningful you’d like to include.
What if I don’t feel confident in front of the camera?
You don’t need any experience. Most of my clients tell me they’ve never had a professional photoshoot before. I’ll guide you through natural movement and flattering poses, so you can simply relax and enjoy the experience.
Can my partner, children, and dog join?
Absolutely. Your partner, children, and family dog are welcome to join. We can create a mix of individual maternity portraits, couple photographs, and meaningful family images that capture the connection surrounding your baby before they arrive. Pet participation may depend on the selected studio’s policy and any applicable pet fee.
Why are your sessions different?
Because this is more than a photoshoot. Every detail is thoughtfully planned before your session, from studio selection and wardrobe to posing and artwork, so you can simply enjoy the experience while I take care of everything else.
What if I don’t know which package to choose?
Don’t worry. I’ll help you choose the collection that best fits your vision, whether you’re looking for a simple maternity session or want to document this chapter from pregnancy through your newborn session.
What should my partner and children wear?
I’ll provide styling recommendations to help your family’s outfits complement one another beautifully. Soft, neutral tones and timeless pieces photograph best, creating an elegant and cohesive look without feeling overly matched.
Where will my session take place?
I’ll help you choose the location that best matches your vision, whether that’s one of Toronto’s beautiful natural locations or a carefully selected daylight studio. If you choose a studio session, I’ll recommend the perfect room based on your preferred style.
How long does it take to receive my photos?
You’ll receive a proof gallery within a few days to select your favourites. Your final edited gallery will be delivered within approximately two weeks after your selections are made.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens, especially during pregnancy. If you need to reschedule, just let me know as early as possible and we’ll find another available date.
Do you offer newborn photography?
Yes. Many families choose to continue their story with a lifestyle newborn session after their maternity photos. Maternity and newborn collections are also available as a bundle.
